DOS Pipe Sealant with PTFE – 1.76 oz
This 1.76 oz container of DOS Pipe Sealant with PTFE is designed for sealing metallic pipe connections and fittings with conical/cylindrical threads (DIN 2999). It’s a low-strength product containing PTFE (Teflon).

Material Compatibility:
- Copper: Not suitable for gas, water (any temperature)
- Brass: Suitable for gas, water up to 104F; not suitable for water above 104F
- Bare Steel: Suitable for gas, water up to 149F; not suitable for water above 149F

Usage:
- Threads must be clean, dry, grease-free, and load-bearing.
- Tighten (>5 Nm) without over-tightening.
Important Notes:
- Not suitable for copper-containing screw connections (brass, bronze) in contact with water over 104F.
- Not permitted for gas connections inside buildings in Germany (TRGI ’86/96).
- Threads must be cut according to standards.
- Do not rotate or readjust connections during or after hardening.
